Why we built it

We are a SAM-registered service-disabled veteran-owned small business, and we kept watching buyers struggle with the official interface just to answer basic questions: who is registered near me, who holds this NAICS, who counts as small. The data is public. Getting at it should not require training. So we built the search we wanted to hand a purchasing clerk.

The problem it confronts

Small-business set-asides only work when buyers can actually find the small businesses. Market research that should take minutes gets skipped or outsourced, and the same handful of known vendors win by default. A fast, honest lookup lowers that barrier for every county board, police department, and prime contractor doing due diligence.

How it works

  • Live registry, not a mirror. Every search queries SAM.gov directly, so results reflect the registration record as it stands right now, including expiration dates.
  • Real size status. The small-business badge comes from SBA's per-NAICS size determination inside the entity's own registration, shown code by code, not inferred.
  • Set-aside filters. Narrow to woman-owned, veteran-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned, or minority-owned firms alongside place and industry filters.
  • Full record at a glance. UEI, CAGE, registration status and expiration, business types, website, and the complete NAICS table on every card.

Transparency and limits

SAM Search shows what SAM.gov publishes and nothing more. Size status is the registrant's own certified representation as recorded by SBA rules, not an audit by us. Verify award eligibility through official channels before relying on it.
